About the SPIRIT Erasmus + Project
From the Elementary Classroom to Future Wellbeing : Skills for Tomorrow for the Children of Today
The project aims to develop the future skills of of primary school students through learning activities, traditional games and gamified STEAM learning approach, in order to enable them to face the challenges of a digitalised and robotised world in a more prepared and efficient, productive, happy and balanced way. We’ll develop an innovative model and tools that can support primary school teachers to engage children in the informal & formal development of their competences while retaining their innate learning skills and STEAM curiosities.

the 10 SPIRIT Skills
A set of skills necessary for a happy future was identified based on five in-depth interviews (one per partner) with cognitive child psychologists. These skills comprise ten basic skills that can be meaningfully understood and developed by 6- to 10-year-olds at this age.

Toolboxes
The overarching objective of the project is to develop the future competencies of primary school students through learning activities, traditional games and a gamified STEAM learning approach.
Please see how we interpreted these tools during the implementation of the project. Enter any toolbox you like and you will find all the tools developed by our partnership and tested in real classroom environments.
The tools can be searched on the basis of which skill they primarily develop. In the case of STEAM programs, the search criteria is the age (grade) of the students.
FOR TRAINERS AND FACILITATORS
training & Learning
As part of this project, we aim to provide professional development opportunities and access to the innovative teaching methods and content developed during the project for elementary school teachers. We are strongly engaged to share all the experience and knowledge we have gained during the completion of this project.
In order to achieve this, we have developed a professional in-service teachers development program, and collected open educational resources to ensure that elementary school teachers in grades 1–4 have the necessary knowledge and skills to develop their students’ transversal competencies for future well-being and a happy life.
